Smartcall (registered as Smart Phone (Pty) Ltd) has specialised in providing prepaid cellular services and products to South African mobile users since 1998.  Today we are one of the largest distributors of starter packs and prepaid airtime in South Africa and provide several WASP services to our large customer base.

Working closely with the three main cellular networks (Vodacom, MTN and Cell C), Smartcall provides various prepaid recharge solutions, airtime-winning entertainment, USSD- & SMS-based products and services, dealer support systems and stock management software as well as starter pack connectivity. We also distribute our own custom recharge vouchers and offer several WASP services and interfaces.

From the beginning Smartcall played an active part in empowering the informal sector, setting up a distribution chain of all our products and technologies through various initiatives, training dealers & customers and working hand in hand with our distributors.

Smartcall has connected over 12 million prepaid subscribers and distributes a significant portion of the airtime sold in South Africa per annum.
